Amazon Goes Metric With A Typo

Ironic that I've been studying Amazon metrics for years, then wake up one morning and find that they've gone metric! The following image shows the shipping weight for a book I wrote for McGraw-Hill, which I chose to make clear they haven't just messed up small publisher data. The weight is shown as 1.2 kg, the actual weight is 1.2 lb. So, Amazon's move to the metric system seems to be based on a system-wide typo, rather than a move towards the MKS system. Made me nostalgic for the big metric push the country made in the 70's that went nowhere.
