Time to review our trading month and see exactly what went wrong. All of my trades for the moth are summarized in the table below. I lost $1,606, not counting the cost of the 13 trades (26 round trips) at $130. However, after going through this exercise, I feel great! Why? because if I'd bought and held those same stocks through today, I'd be out $2,992 instead. In a way, it's as if I made $1386 trading. A very strange way:-) I was doing fine against the NASDAQ until I went down on MU and tried getting it all back in one swing. My gamble on a stock I hate, IOM, cost me $330, and my gambles on two news stocks I know nothing about, ELN and GM, cost me $279 and $508 respectively. Everybody expected GM to have a lousy quarter, but I don't think anybody expected their stock to drop almost 20% in two days, I know I didn't.
